This bracelet is unique and captivating in sterling silver. You will create your own design, mix in  some textured, embellish with sterling silver wire, add a cabochon and bezel, then form a clasp and you have this stunning bracelet.

    Class description:   

    If you love to solder or want to learn to solder this is the class for you !! You will use your design skills to create your own unique decorations, choose from a variety of beautiful cabochon, and secure your cabochon in a bezel, and put the finishing touches with a designer clasp.  

     

    ABOUT YOUR TEACHER:

    Julie began creating jewelry over fifteen years ago. She is talented, creative and qualified to teach just about anything: all types of metal and silversmithing, Precious Metal Clay (PMC), wire works, sheet metals, wire wrapping, fused glass, lampwork glass, wire and beading techniques. She has studied at the prestigious William Holland School of Lapidary Arts, at Rio Grande, and she is a certified PMC artisan. Her work can be seen at Gallery 782 in Biloxi, MS

     

    You will Learn:

    Design techniques, Measure wire and sheet metal, determine size and amount of sheet metal  and wire needed, texture using texture hammers, make your design wire to embellish, solder wire and bezel, form clasp, prepare bracelet for clasp, use bracelet mandrel, secure cabochon in the bezel, what gauge and style  wire to use, soldering, use of flux, type of solder to use (hard, medium, or easy), using a torch, file, annealing, pickling, cleaning wire, how to size cuff to fit your wrist, and patina if so desired, polish and finishing techniques.  

     

    Skills Covered:

    Kit to Include:  

    Everything need to complete this prject.

     

    Skill Level: 

    No experience necessary.

    Tools to Bring:  

    None, You will use studio tools.

     

    What to Wear:

    Comfortable clothes and closed toe shoes (you will be using a torch).  Apron, latex gloves, safety glasses and mask will be provided if needed.

    No refunds are provided if you cannot attend your scheduled class.  You may send someone in your place if you let us know to expect them.  We reserve the right to cancel a class at anytime.  If that happens, for any reason, you will receive a full refund.  In case of inclement weather, we will reschedule the class or give a full refund.
