Kieu will walk you through step by step the layers of soldering that goes into designing this georgous ring. Just look at the unique and different bezel, the ring shaft, the creative design. This class will take you to a whole new level of soldering.

If you want to learn from the best of the best than Kieu’s classes are for you. I can tell you from personal experience (I took classes from her in Wisconsin), she is so much fun in class and her teaching techniques are exceptional. Kieu has been creating jewelry for more than 25 years, she had her own line of jewelry that sold in over 30 stores in 10 states. She does done it all. She has participated in numerous juried art shows, had two retail bead stores, and now she has a jewelry tools distribution company (TheUrbanBeader.com), regularly contributes to “Lapidary Journal”, authored two how to books “Hot & Cold Jewelry Connections” and “Minimal Metal Jewelry” and now teaches classes on Facebook Live weekly. Kieu is well known for the uniqueness of her designs and her passion, knowledge, and dedication for teaching metalsmithing.
You will create a master piece by customizing a bezel setting, design a sterling silver ring band, creatively emblish the bezel, to create an Art Deco inspired ring. The detail in this ring is amazing and look at the uniqueness of the bezel and the detailed emblishing. You will use a Hematite cabochon to adorn your bezel. The knowledge you will gain from makeing this ring will take your skills of making jewelry to the next level.
You will Learn:
Design, Stone setting tehniques, soldering a bezel, use a jeweler's saw, ring mandrel, proper way to use a jeweler's saw, what size saw blades work best, using a thrid-hand and tripoid with mesh, how to use a ring clamp, set a Hematite cabochon, what type of solder to use, prep metal, filing, sanding, cleaning, quenching, annealing, what tools to use, setting a stone in a bezel, how to use a flex shaft, what gauge metal works best, calculate ring size, finishing techniques and learn safety tip when using a torch,

What to Wear:
Closed-toe shoes is a must (we will be using torches for this project) and wear old clothes. Latex gloves, apron, safety glasses and mask will be provided if needed.
What to Bring to Class:
A small notebook and reading glasses if extra magnification is needed.
