    Note:

Examples of Viking Knitting were found in archaeological sites in Scandinavia and also in the British Isles. Many of these dated back to at least the 8th ,  9th and 10th centuries the time of the Vikings. It was used to make bracelets, trim on clothing  and other decorative items. Viking Knit is also known as Trichinopoly Chain. Handmade chains have been found in Viking treasure troves in Scandinavia which were made from melted down coins and turned into fine wire.

     NOTE:

Soldering is joining two or more metal pieces together using a torch and  filler metal known as “solder” which melts at a lower temperature then the workpieces. When done right it provides a strong, invisible joints that hold pieces together securely. Understanding jewelry soldering basics is the key to elevating your metalsmithing skills and it has  endless design possibilities.
