Beach / Sea Glass begins as bottles & glass that gets tossed in the water or on the shore, broken and then tumbled smooth by the waves and currents. Nature acts like a big rock tumbler recycling glass. It can take 7-10 years in constant surf environment to become sea/beach glass. Beach/sea glass is a term used to describe any found glass on beaches that has been naturally worn smooth by tides and time.
