ABOUT YOUR TEACHER:

Julie began creating jewelry over fifteen years ago. She is talented, creative and qualified to teach just about anything: all types of metal and silversmithing, Precious Metal Clay (PMC), wire works, sheet metals, wire wrapping, fused glass, lamp-work glass, wire and beading techniques. She has studied at the prestigious William Holland School of Lapidary Arts, at Rio Grande, and she is a certified PMC artisan. Her work can be seen at Gallery 782 in Biloxi, MS

Class description: 

You will work with sterling silver to create a fabulous sterling silver pendant.

You will Learn:  

Select shapes and design pieces;  make a bezel for a faceted stone; creating a smaller step bezel to place the stone in the bezel cup; forming and securing a bail; soldering each step (including what solder to use and why; filing and finishing the piece.

Skills Covered:  

Design, soldering preparing a bezel setting, preparing a step bezel, setting the stone, designing a bail for the pendant, filing, finishing and polishing.

Kit to Include: 

Every thing needed to complete this project.

Skill Level:  No experience necessary.

Tools to Bring:   None, You will use studio tools.

What to Wear:

Comfortable or Old clothes .,,. And Please wear closed toe shoes you will be using a torch ...Apron, Latex gloves, safety glasses and mask will be provided if needed.

No refunds are provided if you cannot attend your scheduled class.  You may send someone in your place if you let us know to expect them.  We reserve the right to cancel a class at anytime.  If that happens, for any reason, you will receive a full refund.  In case of inclement weather, we will reschedule the class or give a full refund.
