This class is so unique and different. You will create a stunning sterling silver pendant using the stone on a stone technique. Once you learn the stone on stone technique you can apply it to rings, earrings, bracelets and more pendants.

ABOUT YOUR TEACHER:
Julie began creating jewelry over fifteen years ago. She is talented, creative and qualified to teach just about anything: all types of metal and silversmithing, Precious Metal Clay (PMC), wire works, sheet metals, wire wrapping, fused glass, lampwork glass, wire and beading techniques. She has studied at the prestigious William Holland School of Lapidary Arts, at Rio Grande, and she is a certified PMC artisan. Her work can be seen at Gallery 782 in Biloxi, MS
Class description:
This class is so unique and different. You will create a stunning sterling silver pendant using the stone on a stone technique..
You will Learn:
You will learn how to design a pendant by drilling a hole in a stone cabochon, attach a tubing to a small bezel, make a bezel, mount a stone on top of another stone, create and attach a bail, secure stones in a bezel setting, polish/finish the piece. Once you learn the stone on stone technique, you can apply the technique on rings, earrings, bracelets and more pendants.
Skills Covered:
Design pendant, soldering, filing, using a torch, how to use flux, annealing, clean metal, how to and when to pickle, sanding, filing, forming, texturing, cutting sterling, creating bezel setting, mounting stones in bezel setting, setting a stone on a stone, and attaching a bail, what gauge metal works best for pendants, what type of stone works best patina, finishing/polishing techniques.

Every thing needed to complete this project.
Skill Level: No experience necessary.
Tools to Bring: None, You will use studio tools.
What to Wear:
Comfortable or Old clothes .,,. And Please wear closed toe shoes you will be using a torch ...Apron, Latex gloves, safety glasses and mask will be provided if needed.
