Lets create by starting with a sterling silver ring blank, add a designer texture, solder the ring band, solder a tube bezel, embellish by setting a CZ stone and you will go home with a beautiful ring on your finger and the best part is you made it.

Class description:
Sterling Designer ring is a gorgeous sterling silver ring with a touch of elegance to which you will add a brilliant CZ stone of your choice. All the while learning useful designer tips and once you learn these easy technique you are well on your way to becoming a silversmith.
You will Learn:
You will learn safety tip when using a torch, texture, how to solder a ring closure, solder a tube bezel , set a CZ stone, what type of solder to use, prep metal by filing, sanding, cleaning, quenching, annealing, what tools to use, how to hammer out a texture, setting a stone in a tube bezel, how to use a flex shaft drill, what gauge metal works best, polish and buff, calculate ring size using a Caliper for correct sizing, finishing techniques.
Skills Covered:
Safety tips when using a torch, soldering, cutting metal, filing, sanding, cleaning, quenching, annealing, texturing, solder a tube bezel, set a stone, tools to use, texturing, using metal and a wire gauge, polishing, buffing, seizing a ring, use of a Caliper, use of a flex shaft, metal and finishing techniques.

None ! Students will use studio tools.
What to Wear:
Closed-toe shoes is a must (we will be using torches for this project), wear old clothes. Latex gloves, apron, safety glasses and mask will be provided if needed.
What to Bring to Class:
A small notebook and reading glasses if extra magnification is needed.
