Julie will give you a choice of making this ring one of two ways: First you can make the ring with a solid band or two you can design with an open band that can be adjusted. Either way the ring is unique in design. And you will chose the color of the cabochon.

ABOUT YOUR TEACHER:
Julie began creating jewelry over Twenty years ago. She is talented, creative and qualified to teach just about anything: all types of metal and silversmithing, Precious Metal Clay (PMC), wire works, sheet metals, wire wrapping, fused glass, lampwork glass, wire and beading techniques. She has studied at the prestigious William Holland School of Lapidary Arts, at Rio Grande, and she is a certified PMC artisan. Her work can be seen at Gallery 782 in Biloxi, MS
Class description:
You will create your ring using sterling silver, make a bezel, embellish it with a cabochon in a color you choose add some texture,. Note the design of the band.
You will Learn:
Design, texturing metal, making a bezel, how to set a stone in the bezel, how to use a bezel pusher, soldering, annealing, quenching, stone setting, how to use a ring mandrel and form a ring, use a flex shaft, filing, applying patina (optional), how to polish and finish your ring.

Design, texturing, bezel making, soldering, annealing, filing, use of flex shaft, patina (optional), using a bezel pusher, stone setting, how to use a ring mandrel, pickling, quenching, ring forming, polishing, finishing techniques and Shop safety.
Kit to Include:
Kit will include everything need to complete your adjustable ring.
Skill Level:
No experience necessary.
Tools to Bring:
None, You will use studio tools.
What to Wear:
Old clothes and since you will be using a torch so please wear closed-toe shoes to class and tie back your hair. Apron, safety glasses, latex gloves and mask will be provided if needed.
