Leave it to Julie to come up with a unique design to learn new techniques for making a beautiful ring. Using a combination of brass, copper and sterling silver base, you will select your ring shape and the shapes for your decoration and use a roller to design a unique ring setting on an adjustable band. Combining metals is an awesome class.

ABOUT YOUR TEACHER:
Julie began creating jewelry over fifteen years ago. She is talented, creative and qualified to teach just about anything: all types of metal and silversmithing, Precious Metal Clay (PMC), wire works, sheet metals, wire wrapping, fused glass, lampwork glass, wire and beading techniques. She has studied at the prestigious William Holland School of Lapidary Arts, at Rio Grande, and she is a certified PMC artisan. Her work can be seen at Gallery 782 in Biloxi, MS
You will Learn:
Some new techniques, sweat soldering brass, copper onto a sterling base, using a roller to design a unique ring setting, make tiny tabs to hold your design, choose a sterling shape of the ring base and add your shapes for the copper and brass. You may choose to hammer a texture, how to cut different shapes of metal, determine types of solder to use in each step, sawing using a jewelers saw, setting the metal pieces, when and how to anneal metal, how to form an adjustable ring band and finishing and polishing.
