 A NEW TECHNIQUE!! This class will provide you an opportunity to learn the art of twisting wire into an elegantly textured pair of earrings with a tube bezel and a cz setting for added bling.There are a range of factors to consider and Eva is here to guide you every step of the way.

    Your Instructor: 

    Eva has authored two books on jewelry design: "Organic Wire & Metal Jewelry" and "Cool Copper Cuffs" and produced Instructional DVD's. She  has  an affinity for working with wire and metals and prefers to design in an organic and unstructured style. She teaches nationally and Internationally and  In Sept. 2018 she is featured on the front cover of Lapidary Journal Jewelry Artist magazine. Her studio is "Grand River Bead Studio" in Cleveland, Ohio. Not only are her classes fun but youwill learn a lot from this creative and talented Lady.


    Class Description:

    You will  discover the art of wire twisting and how to incorporate finished twisted wire  into jewelry pieces. Eva will teach you how to twist wire, solder it together, add a tube bezel, a cz setting and finish it off with beautiful ear-wires. There are a range of factors to consider in wire twisting and Eva is here to guide you every step of the way. Twisting wire will add a unique textural element to your sterling silver earrings.


    You will Learn:    

    Using sterling silver wire, you will design a pair of earrings by twisting wire, fabricate the wire into earrings, soldering wire together, add a tube bezel, set a stone and finish off with ear-wires.   


    Skills Covered:

    Design, twisting wire, fabricating, soldering wire, solder tube bezel, stone setting, torch firing,    using flux, annealing, clean metal, sanding, filing, what gauge metal works best, how to determine length of wire to twist, and finishing techniques.

    All levels


    Tools Needed:  

    None...Students will use Studio tools.


    What to Wear:

    Please wear closed toe shoes (you will be using a torch) and wear old cloths.  Apron, latex gloves, safety glasses and mask will be provided if needed.
