You will learn the art of Enameling on these adorable metal shapes, hearts, circles or several other shapes to to choose from. Soooo many beautiful colors to mix and match. We will make earrings and a pendant... So grab a friend or two and lets have some fun !!!

Enameling (for the purpose of this class) is the process of applying finely ground glass to metal, when the metal is heated to a high temperature the glass melts and fuses to the metal. In this class we will be using a torch to fuse the glass and watch the transformation from particals of glass to a beautiful glass finish.
Class description:
Learning the art of enameling using adorable metal shapes and sizes of your choice. You will learn how enamel using rubber stamps, sgraffito, stencils, connecting metal to metal and so much more.
You will Learn:
The art of enameling using a hand held torch instead of using a kiln, how to counter enamel, create beautiful designs using stencils, rubber stamps, sgraffito and metal to metal. You will learn the proper way to clean metal, what types of metal works best, what gauge metal to use, filing, torch setup, proper tools to use, what supplies you will need and safety tips. You will make ear-wires for your earrings, make a leather cord for your necklace, attach end connectors to leather and what size cord to use. Once you learn the process you will be able to go home and make beautiful enameled jewelry.

Tools to Bring:
None ! You will use studio tools.
What to Wear:
Closed toe shoes required (we will be using a torch), wear comfortable clothes and if you have long hair something to tie back your hair. Latex gloves, apron, safety glasses and mask will be provided if needed.
