You will craft three sperate rings, put them together to form a three-piece puzzle effect . It is not only unique in design but it is absolute a one of a kind ring that will get lots of comments and you will smile and simply say “I made this ring”

ABOUT YOUR TEACHER:
Julie began creating jewelry over fifteen years ago. She is talented, creative and qualified to teach just about anything: all types of metal and silversmithing, Precious Metal Clay (PMC), wire works, sheet metals, wire wrapping, fused glass, lampwork glass, wire and beading techniques. She has studied at the prestigious William Holland School of Lapidary Arts, at Rio Grande, and she is a certified PMC artisan. Her work can be seen at Gallery 782 in Biloxi, MS
Class Descripton:
You will use heavier gauge sterling silver wire, connect each ring, and refit into a puzzle as you solder. A fun class that will expand your skills in making jewelry.
You will Learn:
How to solder heavier gauge sterling silver, determine the ring size for (3) three separate rings, cut sterling silver wire, form rings using a mandrel, solder rings closed, use a jeweler’s saw, refit rings into the puzzle, file and polish, types of solder works best (chips, wire, paste), safety issues, setting up your workspace, tools needed, using a torch, annealing wire (so you will not melt the wire), quenching, pickling, what gauge wire works best for rings.

What to Wear:
You will be using a torch so please wear closed toe shoes, old clothes and tie back long hair. Apron, latex gloves, safety glasses and mask will be provided if needed.
